Getting back to music...Since the Marvelettes didn't have an album release for 1964 or 1965, what would your version of a 1964 and 1965 [[or you could just do one) album look like, track list wise?

Thanks Eddie. I don't keep up with the Marvelettes as much as I do some other Motown groups so a couple of the songs aren't too familiar to me. I'm going to take a listen to them.

It is a very nice cover - it utilises the catalogue number of Mary Wells "Greatest Hits" on TML11032. Let down only by the obvious spelling mistakes - "Finders Kepers, Losers Weepers" and the word "charictaristic". Oh, and wasn't it their 5th studio album? Very good work indeed though.

I can't imagine any album that has "Danger Heartbreak Dead Ahead" not having "Your Cheating Ways" on it, and vice versa.

The Marvelettes' 1966 Greatest Hits album had catalogue number 253 which appears to have been assigned in 1964. Marvin Gaye's GH [[252) was released in June 1964 and The Miracles' GH [[254) was released in March 1965.

So, realistically, a Marvelettes' GH album could have been released in either 1964 or 1965. Albums with new songs could then have been released in 1965 or 1966 prior to The Marvelettes' pink album [[274) in March 1967.

It might be worth reviewing their releases to see what a 1964 Marvelettes' GH would look like and then consider what songs, from their extensive unreleased catalogue, could have been used on albums for 1965 or 1966. [[And maybe even a GH Vol. 2 for 1969 or later!)

I like your track ideas, but I would have made the album title, “Don’t Mess With” and utilized one of their glamour shots taken around 1965 where each girl has a super-serious look on their face [[I think some of the Kriegsman shots of the trio had a few smoldering gazes from them) and played up that angle for the album sleeve. Include a shot on the back of the trio smiling and it’d have been a perfect album to promote!

Here's a crazy idea for Universal:
Create a series called "Crowdsourced" and take ideas like this one and the dozens of others I've seen all over SDF and allow fans to create the track list and album covers and sell them as digital downloads.
