You should definitely try to see her too. I was just talking to someone today that said that she was very good when she performed for the Urban League.

I questioned one comment in the blurb for the show:

"...she was discovered by manager Milton Jenkins, who picked her to lead a new group called The Primettes..."

Didn't Jenkins first approach Flo? He was dating her sister, Maxine [["Precious"), wasn't he? Or was he dating Betty? [[Eventually he married Maxine, as we know.) My recollection, from everything I've ever read/heard/etc., was that once Betty and Florence were on board, Flo then rounded up Mary, and finally they recruited Diane, whom none of them really knew all that well at the time.

Yep, you are absolutely right....
It seems like forever now Flo was originally thought of as the lead but I think Paul Williams was the one who actually recommended Diana.
