Inspired by the earlier posting of Milt Jackson, I thought a thread devoted to soulful? instrumentals could gain some traction
They were ubiquitous back in the 60's and 70's
Phil Upchurch " you can't sit down"
The Packers "Hole in the wall"
Stevie Wonder "easy going evening"
Not to mention the MFSB stuff, Herbie Hancock, Ramsey Lewis and many more.

This is a funk/rock mash up that I don't think any of my friends listened to in spite of being my jam. Love hearing it played through speakers and with the volume turned up. This is the one that used to ease us down the road to Virginia from Ohio when my dad put it in the 8-track.
