James Gadson was the singer / drummer on this. He quickly got pissed with CW, who he said stole most of the credit for the group's work [[& many times their writers credits too).
So James quit the group at an early date & went out on his own. In the 70's, he was just about the top soul session drummer in LA. He played on 1000's of sessions, many Motown ones included.

Thanks JSmith. I've seen James Gadson name in the credits for many of the Motown albums I bought in the 70s.

Most welcome, Tom! I heard it on the Sirius XM 'Carolina Beach' special station and have been obsessed!
