Can anyone here tell me what Rita Graham's tracks "Rich Man, Poor Man / I'll Hold Out My Hand [[Prodigal P-0626) sound like ??
I believe the tracks were cut in the LA area in 1976 with Joe Harrelson producing.
I guess it was product that was 'bought in' by Prodigal [[Motown) rather than an 'in-house' production job.

Rita had cut an album [[under the supervision of Ray Charles) for Tangerine back in 1967/68. Although this had mainly featured old standards, it did feature the soulful "My Cup Runneth Over". Around a year before she started recording for Ray, she had guested as lead singer with the Tiaras on a track released by Dore. Immediately after she cut her LP tracks, she became a member of the Raelettes for a period and toured backing Ray up.
In 1971, she worked with Mike Post as half of the duo 'Rye & Rita Jean' [[Bell).
Throughout much of her singing career, she has been in the jazz field but back in the 1960's, she was much more of a soul singer.

I'm curious to know what style her Prodigal tracks were.
