I wish that people would do there research when putting together a show as important as this. I knew Sylvester very well and he never dressed or looked anywhere close to this actor. I mean red lips, red hi-heal shoes and red nails in 1978, WRONG. I've seen him portrayed in two films and they both got it wrong as well. Watching this clip would keep from going to see this show.

I saw Sylvester's show at the NYC's River Club on West Street in the Village. I love his music and talent, but that night he was not that great. :[[ Sadly, I never got to see Patrick Crowley, his label-mate.

The young men who conceived and wrote this musical were unfamiliar with Sylvester until they saw his TVOne 'Unsung.' That program was not a great overview of Sylvester. The musical will probably not satisfy Sylvester fans as I think the characterization of him is a little off. Still, it is great that Sylvester has been remembered.
