John should definitely come to the U S to attend this performance. He has a lot of friends in the USA that he could visit at the same time. It would be great to have him here to report on this event.

I'd love to see it but it's too short notice for me. The ladies are not actually appearing in the show.

You mean the photo is actually of the Velvelettes? Have never seen them as they appear in that photo. I assumed it was the ladies playing them since Xtown said they wouldn't be appearing in the show.

I expect them to be in the audience. Their families will also be going.

At first I thought the same thing because I had no recollection of their ever working that kind of look, but I enlarged the photo and I can see that it's in fact [[left to right) Bert, Milly, Cal and Norma all right. I'm guessing this was shot in the '80s during the Motorcity period. Maybe they were going for a Pointer Sisters type look. While they're definitely foxy in the photo and all that, I think prefer a classier, less in-your-face look.

They look hot in that picture.

I believe that picture was used for the cover of the group's 1989 Motorcity single "Pull My Heartstrings" :)

Thanks for the information, friends. You guys know everything!

I think a 60s glam shot would have been better and more in keeping with the spirit of the group from their Golden Era. Yeah - Pointer Sisters, definitely! Though I don't blame the lady on the left for showing off those gams!
