Did you know she was to host and perform on SNL in 1976 but cancelled a week before the show was to air?

I saw last nights show. Pretty innocuous. Why did she cancel??

It painted her as a Norma Desmond type has-been. For that reason I did not like it, but it was funny.

They never gave an explanation. She was already listed as host in the local TV Guides in the newspapers even.

That was a bad impersonation of Diana. It's like Sasheer Zamata didn't even try. I'm surprised SNL has held onto her this long. She's not that good.

The closest Diana impersonation I've seen was from Maya Rudolph about 12 years ago during a skit on SNL with Diana behind bars during her DUI.

Brad, I feel precisely as you do about Zamata. She does nothing for me; this skit did her no favors either.

The SNL Diana impression I remember as well was Julia Louis-Dreyfus's "I-love-you-don't-touch-me" routine from the '90s. That was pretty funny.

Ha... never seen SNL before [[here in the UK) but I enjoyed this. Unfortunately the worst impression was probably the one of Diana... Jimmy Fallon was hilarious and Harry Styles was actually pretty funny too! ;)

Thanks for posting, Jimi

well, placing her with Jagger and Travolta indicates that she is still a 'player' in pop culture as far as SNL is concerned!

True. She was in good company!
