I have a question that Ralph and Russ will surely be able to help with. I noticed years ago when Pentangle played on a TV show that the drum sound was surprisingly clean and Motown-ish, and I wondered at the time whether it was because the group was unamplified. So my question is, if the guitars and bass were playing into the board, how loudly did everyone play in the Snakepit?
