Symphony got to number one in three weeks or less per YKMHO in 4 weeks ..??

Actually You Keep Me Hanging On took four weeks as well. One could split hairs that Symphony spent 1 week on the Bubbling Under chart before debuting so YKMHO would have the record. Here are the runs of each...

12. I HEAR A SYMPHONY

16. YOU KEEP ME HANGIN' ON

Now here's a trivia question for the board. Which Supremes single took the longest to peak on the Hot 100 chart vs. when it first debuted on the Bubbling under chart?

Useless trivia.

The Supremes final top 40 hit, "I'm Gonna Let My Heart Do The Walking" is on a very short list of songs Casey Kasem never got to announce on his American Top 40 countdown show. It only spent 1 week at #40 and he was on vacation that week. In a way, it's a fitting bookend since his show began the 7-4-70 weekend which means he covered all the 70's Supremes top 40 hits but the first - "Up The Ladder To The Roof."

Well, they recorded it, so I guess it could be called "a Supremes' song". But, I'll always think of it as a Johnny & Jackey song.

Diana Ross and The Supremes were "The Supremes". The Supremes weren't a Duet who happened to get a few gigs singing behind Diana.

Close Johnjeb but this earlier single took 22 weeks between its inital entry on bubbling under to finally peak at #90 on the Hot 100

Well then only one supreme recorded it. Diana. Mary and Cindy had nothing to do with the recording of that.

Yes, I forgot about the recordings with Diane on lead and non-Supremes as backgrounds
[[including those using The Andantes). But, I guess that because the artists listed included "The Supremes", a trivia question regarding chart position should consider it a "Supremes' record".
