A Go Go isn't here yet, but I wanted to start a thread to allow us to express to the powers-that-be at Universal that we want Andy & George to work on the HDH album [[if they haven't already).

There must be enough demand to keep reissuing these treasures. And if there isn't... profits be damned, these are OUR cultural and musical heritages. These expanded editions allow fans, young and old, to express their appreciation for three little black girls from Detroit. In a day and age where both race and gender norms stood in their way, these ladies made an incredible statement, as did all Motown artists. It is our duty to preserve this heritage [[yeah, through commercialism, I know...).

I think this would be a good album to re-release as an expanded edition. I would also like to see the Four Tops 1964 album "The Four Tops" and "Reach Out" re-released and given the expanded treatment.

I wholly support that second suggestion from Marv2.

A hearty yes to all of the above -- especially "The Supremes Sing H-D-H" Expanded.

Yes I'd love an expanded version of "Reach Out" if enough material existed. It's one of my all time favourite Motown albums. I'd also love it if there's any way they could clean up the recording a little because it's always sounded a little distorted to me.

I am in but I want Go Go first, if it does well it may open the doors for another collection. not sure if anything is left in the vaults but apparently 5 tracks were found coming out on Motown unreleased 1966??? makes me wonder if. maybe they will find more

Want to see more Expanded Editions--be they digital OR CD format? Buy two [[2) copies of everything. Sell the second CD copy on eBay, put it on your music shelf, keep it in the car--whatever. But the best way to show Universal there is still a market for such collections is for them to sell A LOT of them. I'm planning to buy two copies of the upcoming "A' Go-Go: Expanded Edition" CD set and will probably keep the second one as a sealed copy. In business, money talks. Show your support by making sure these sets sell big!

I now do the exact same thing. Given that some of my 1989-91 vintage Motown CDs go on eBay for upwards of $150 and seeing how the TITS boxed set is not even available for any price, I buy a second copy and keep it sealed for future value.

Brilliant idea. BTW, unfortunate acronym!

I just searched eBay to see what the TITS is selling for. There is one listing from the UK This Is The Story, Volume 1, 1970-1973, the Jean Terrell years selling for $227.28 USD and Let Yourself Go, Volume 2, 1974-1977, the Final Sessions, selling for $51.87 USD.

The same seller in the UK has both available. Interesting.

Oops. Didn't even think of that when posting.
