It would have been a good anthem for the streets, for protests back in the 60s had it been viewed as such. For today's rebellions, we'd need something much harder and upbeat.

I always loved this song. Great lyrics and vocal performance but there was something missing that stopped it from becoming an absolute classic. Great anthem though and very topical in view of what has happened in the States this past week.

Was n't it a B side? No Matter What Sign You Are maybe, and then it enjoyed a brief chart run of it's own?

yes Bluebrock, you are correct. it was the B side to NMWSYA. I liked it better than the two previous singles. it would have fit nicely on the Love Child lp. but either way I think it's under rated song by the Supremes
