while i'm a Hillary supporter/voter and not happy with the outcome, i'm going to take the positive route. even if the only positive thing is that with each day, we're 1 day closer to the next election
There's hope is the future, even if the immediate future is a challenge. No matter how dark the night, the sun always rises. This song fills me with hope and promise

I was a knucklehead who didn't read the fine print.....and I was coming back to add my fave protest song, "Compared to What". After reading the other entries......I got a clue.

MaryBrewster posted my next two choices: End of The Road and I'm Living in Shame.

So.....to honor my forefathers and their fathers before them.....who are rolling over in their graves.....I choose "Shoeshine Boy"......and for the rest of us.....The Temptations' "Zoom"

Still it speaks to me about what some of us are up against and Mary Wilson is Motown enough for anyone! Now take this!

"Trump Is Here And Now We're Roadkill"

You persuaded me to love you
And I did
But instead of tenderness I found heartache instead
Into your arms I fell
So unaware of the loneliness that was waiting there
You closed the door of your heart and turned the key
Locked your love away from me.

Yeah, it's sung to the tune of "Going to Kansas City, Kansas City here I come....."

This is a disaster of epic proportions for anyone who cares about basic human decency. They have promised to be meaner, more vindictive and more harmful to the poor and minorities than anything any of us have ever witnessed. I cry for this country.

So very depressing. Someone who ridicules the disabled, brags about assaulting women...the blooper reel on this guy is just endless. How humiliating for Obama, to be replaced by the man who questioned his authenticity for so many years.

I agree. It seems like we will all be living in a different country very soon, and just when it seemed we were on the verge of something really great happening.

I think it's fair to say that his real campaign slogan was "Making America White Again."

And from other parts of the UK as well. We have to keep strong, stick to our principles and argue for the counter view. This forum is about what really matters, which is cultural heritage - the ony thing that lasts and means anything in the long run.

Waynesville, Sharpmoves -

Thank you for that. We now have our own version of that former London mayor coming to the White House. I know you know how this feels!

It's not Motown, but if you listen to the lyrics it is very appropriate for this moment in time:

This forum is about what really matters, which is cultural heritage - the ony thing that lasts and means anything in the long run. Absolutely - and no offense meant to the rest of Britain! Most big cities in fact voted against Brexit [[Bristol, Cardiff, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, Edinburgh)...
