Never really ever got into this song but seeing Mary perform it, is much much better. Thank you for posting Venus.

When Mary moved to Jubilee, it seemed like she and Cecil decided to move in a different musical direction. The "Hitsville-cloned" numbers she had done on 20th Century and Atco fell flat [[although I really liked them). Moving away form that formula was risky and, sadly for Mary, it wasn't very well received.

How wonderful to see and hear Mary in such fine form.

I'm off to the racks to dig out the cd's I have of her post Motown material for some more enjoyable listening .
