It was sad to hear of the passing yesterday of Jimmy Williams after battling cancer. I do not remember the first group he appeared with United Image, but do well with Double Exposure and The Trammps, so important in the Philly sound.

Rest in Peace Jimmy and Thanks.

Rest In Peace, Jimmy. I love Double Exposure and The Trammps. Double Exposure deserved to be at the top of the charts right along with the other top-name Philly Soul artists. They were at the top of my personal chart, and shall forever be.

Rest in peace! Big voice gospel infected as in the case of another "Big Jimmy", Jimmy Elis who he replaced in The Trammps. I have "Ten Percent" album on CD and the track "Every Man" is bombastic. I think he was the same Jimmy Williams bass player who in the track "Teaser" [[a cover of The Dells song produced by B-H-Y) on The Trammp's "The Whole World's Dancing" album is also bombastic.
