I finally got around to checking out one of Nagoya's several Tower Records stores, and spent the better part of an hour checking out the mighty soul and R&B section. Snapped a few pics; in addition to the Stevie Wonder reissue of "I Was Made To Love Her" and other Little Stevie Wonder reissues, there was an Isley Brothers display, the Rhino Handmade Wilson Pickett box set, The Complete Motown Singles Vol. 9, a Supremes set I hadn't seen before [["The Supremes: This Is The Story Vol. 1" in mint condition for 5,400 yen; it's going for over $250 new from Amazon Marketplace sellers; http://tower.jp/item/2196661/This-Is-The-Story-:-The-70's-Albums-Vol--1-[[1970---1973)), and the Soul Train DVDs from Time-Life. Not bad!

Does anyone have any info about "100 Soul Classics"? It has both Motown and Atlantic artists. According to the back, it's licensced by Universal / BMG. The UPC is 0602498461631. I had trouble finding out much about it online; looks like it's out of the Netherlands. I also got a copy of A Complete Introduction to Tamla Motown for 1,000 off.

Thanks,

VCQ

Interesting cover, as it looks similar to this one:

I found it at amazon.com for $35.86 but after reading the one review, caveat emptor.
