I wasn't quite here yet....on Earth, hehehehehe but anytime I hear this, I can picture people, my parents listening to it and dancing. It is truly a Detroit original. Their vocals were so pure and sharp. They would have never needed autotune or other trickery.

Yes he may know. He worked on that show, "The Motown Show" he mentioned here.

I don't know if he does it now or in any place outside of Detroit, but Smokey is a natural born comedian! I can remember sitting in the Fox Theater in Detroit hunched down in my seat from laughing so hard at Smokey just being himself on stage and telling stories. He so crazy! LOL!

Thanks for posting this clip! It's no surprise to hear Smokey Robinson do "Doo-Wop" so well since the early singles he did with The Miracles [[including "Got A Job" & "Bad Girl") are definitive Doo-Wop songs. Now, where and when did this clip come from [[and who are the 'sidemen')?
