That was wonderful Marv.
Many years ago, my phone rang in my school office and I couldn't believe my ears when I heard, "Hello Tim, this is Freddie Gorman speaking." I asked him if I could call him back later that evening but he called me at home and I remember that being one of the greatest phone calls. Freddie was so nice and talked to me as though we had known each other for years. Later, he did a telephone interview with "my kids" and he sang a bit of "Baby I'm for Real" which was hot again because of After 7 and the kids went nuts. He sent us some autographed pictures of himself as well as The Originals and they are still up on our Walls of Fame.

Thanks Satipe what an amazing story! Freddie was truly one of Motown's unsung heroes.

Thank you, Marv, for this.
I remember Dillon talking about this many years ago, and I'm glad he's finally made it.
Best regards

Surely time for all the Originals albums to be reissued by Motown via the various labels with access to the back catalogue.

I can't get over how clear and strong his voice sounds on this one. Do you know what year this was?

That was when the Cha Cha sound was popular. I sometimes wonder if some of the Motown stars that he helped early on ever thought of reaching back and returning the favor.
