Well I'm so glad I bought this at a decent price lol. Looks like Keith Hughes will have to get ACE to make some more. Who, on the Motown Forum will pay £500 for this?

It's the general trend to inflate the cost of Motown collectables that's hard to comprehend. Sure supply and demand and all that, but many of the high prices are pinned on fairly recent CD releases.

For example, even though the Soul Music website [[and others) indicate that there are reasonably priced copies of Tata Vega's "Totally Tata" bonus track edition available, the reality is that if you want one you might expect to pay £25 or thereabouts due to lack of availability.

True we know about several of the Hip-O-Select releases now attracting premium prices [[e.g. Supremes "Where Did Our Love Go" 40th Anniversary). Also used regular UK releases such as Brenda Holloway's "Motown Anthology" are "over priced". Conversely, some can be picked up dirt cheap, even in HMV, such as the Jimmy Ruffin and Elgins doubles. Crazy.

What I find truly amazing is the price of downloads of albums can be way above the cost of the same CD [[brand new). Surely there is something wrong there.
