Unfortunately shootings in nightclubs and bars in the U.S. are nothing new at all. This has been going on since the days of the Wild West here.

In Ohio it is legal to carry a firearm into a bar Thanks to Governor John Kasich .

Those other shootings don't seem to make the BBC website quite the same as the latest ones.

I am horrified by it all. If I was a kid again , I'd be scared to have a night out.

Oh yes things have definitely changed since we use to go out to clubs each week. Kids or young adults are much more on edge than they use to be. Crime may be down ,but that is mostly due to demographics. There are fewer people between the ages of 18-25 than in the 70s and 80s. They are also much more violent than past generations.
