The Temps also do a version of this song with David R on lead, definitely worth seeking out for a listen.

Their version happens to be one of my favorite unreleased tracks. I still have the 25th Anniversary CDs.

Their version happens to be one of my favorite unreleased tracks. I still have the 25th Anniversary CDs.

I never was keen on the Temps version.

I always felt it was overproduced, and the backing track wasn't powerful enough, and just lacked something.

I like Ivy's version though.

But I think the Spinners originally released version is hard to beat!
