Something that has been on my mind lately regarding Shorty Long's second and final album, The Prime of Shorty Long. This was released both on the Soul label in the USA and on the Tamla Motown label in the UK.

I looked at Google Images for this album cover and it confirms that the one that I have in my collection which is in the original shrink wrap is identical].

There is a "red diamond" or something similar that stands out like it is a manufacturing defect. It is directly uptop between his ear [[the only one shown) and his left eye.

Does anyone know what this represents? It looks like a defect but I am confused. Has anyone else noticed it?

It looks like it was just glare from the lighting and they just cleaned it up on future releases:

I think it is just a light reflecting off his scalp. The same photo is used on the Kent cd HERE COMES...SHORTY LONG and that light is covered over.
