This article was posted on linkedin yesterday. What do Detroiters think about what this young man has to say?

Here it is, with him lip sinking to it:

The great Ray Pollard sang it as well:

Hey, Marv, instead of taking visceral digs at the guy, why not discuss the veracity of his claims? visceral

Hell, we all have problems. New York has them, Baltimore has them, Cleveland, Chicago and LA. Only thing is that the media went into a 10 year feeding frenzy over Detroit's problems, but hardly ever covers the major improvements that have gone in Detroit over the last 5 years. Yes he is a big cry baby because I can guarantee you he has done nothing to help improve the city or where he lives.

Do you live there?

YEAH! Back when it was much worse than it is today. Back when we were called "Murder Capital USA". I don't live there today.

There is truth to what he says, but I don't think that anyone would start a small business in a city that they "hate". Perhaps he means he hates what has been done to Detroit.

That's probably closer to the truth. We remember Detroit's greatness when we were younger. Now we are witnessing it's rebirth. Detroit still has assets no other city I've visited has.
