After having a pretty big bit of success with The Lovelites in the early 70s, producer Clarence Thomas put together the group Coffee as sort of a club/disco update of the harmony girl sound that he made famous back in the early days. This album's one of the few that the group ever made – and while it's not a total club classic, it does feature a nice remake of the Lovelites' classic "Mom & Dad 1980", plus some uptempo cuts like "Sip & Dip", "Casanova", and "Can You Get To This". © 1996-2016, Dusty Groove, Inc.
