Sickening. Well, let's see how this shakes out. Maybe they will auction it off to someone who is serious about either preserving the studio, or ensuring it's legacy.

I hope that something like that happens rather than something worse like it burning to the ground.

Unfortunately, it is NOT good news. Every member of the Motown Forum has to put forth any suggestions or ideas on how to save this facility.

Maybe a committee, SAVE USS!

This would be a TRAGEDY. So many improvements have already been made and there are more in the process.

Sorry to read this. I was fortunate to have recording sessions many times at United. A great studio. Siricuse was a genius that constantly had a cigarette dangling from his mouth. I don't know how he did it but it didn't leave his lips until it was done. He was generous to me in my early Tera Shirma days and sold me a lot of good used equipment at very modest prices.
