My God, this is extremely sad. Years ago I ran a website for The Clark Sisters. I remember receiving an email from a Denise Matthews. When I read it, I was like is this the Denise Matthews that I think it is. Dorinda Clark Cole of The Clark Sisters had released her solo debut and it contained a song on it called "I'm Still Here". Denise aka Vanity was writing to ask for permission to use the song on her website. I forwarded the email to Dorinda and she was flattered and honored and without hesitation said yes. Shortlly after that denisematthews.com would open up with Dorinda's song "I'm Still Here". May she rest in peace.

I was enthralled by her beauty and had posters of her on my wall. I bought her music because I was so infatuated with her. I still listen to it and it brings back fond memories of youth. Her faith was strong and she loved God so I know she is alright now.

This is terribly sad to hear. I loved watching her back in the '80s and feel that we didn't have a chance to see her at the best of her abilities. She even made "Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon" watchable multiple times for me. May she find the peace in her rest that she never found in life.
