When Boyz II Men came out, I thought that it was a very good record. It became Motown's biggest record.

Then I heard a medley by Gladys Knight and she made me appreciate the words to the song. Then I saw her sing it live in concert and she blew me away just as I was blown away when I watched this video. Gladys Knight was, is , and always will be the Empress of Soul.

I am sure you know that Gladys & the Pips had their own "End of the Road" record which was also great.

You are right Marv. Gladys and the guys killed it in the studio but when Gladys performed it live it was quite something else.
Boyz 11 men are great singers in their own right and deserve their place in Motown's latter day history.

Are you referring to, "The End of Our Road" released in 1968?

Perhaps I am confused. Isn't GK&P 1968 song an entirely different song written by Norman W? I haven't listened to it in years . The only other recorded Gladys version of Boyz End of Road is included in a medley on a solo Gladys album. She has sung the medley live in concerts. When I heard that, I appreciated the song so much more because I actually listened to the words.

Gladys did record the boyz 11 men "end of the road" i do believe?She certainly sang it live several times, and if my fading memory serves me well she was joined by the guys on stage at least once? I think the version released on cd by Gladys was a live recording?

^ Yeah it was a live recording. The "Boyz" were featured in a video she did for the song.
