Seriously though, didn't someone tell Stevie that having babies is costly???

Yes that plus divorces. Stevie has a house full of toddlers at the moment.

^ True. I would think Stevie would've been smarter than that. Like at a certain point, keep your personal life as minimally troubled as possible. Could add more to why he struggles to put out music nowadays.

I am led to believe that Stevie still records music on a fairly regular basis but abandons most of it. This is a process he has repeated time and time again over the past 40+ years. There must be literally 100's of unreleased stuff lying in the vaults. Stevie will only release material when he is ready to do so, and it is always on his terms. We could get a new album in early 2016 or we could be kept waiting another 5 years. With Stevie it is impossible to say.

Don't forget that he is a social/political activist. That takes up time.

Well there were these two new albums we were supposed to get last year that have yet to materialize. See below...

Yes he is Luke. He is on Motown for life. It is written into his contract - until of course Stevie decides otherwise!

Thing is, okay, he's a political and social activist, he has his own radio show, and whoopty whoop but also, this dude stays trolling, talking about he has five albums or so ready. LOL child boo... either put it out or stop talking about it, which he probably has in a while, but still...

How about he's old and it just doesn't flow like it did when he was 20.

Remember, we don't do that on this forum anymore. Don't get personal. If you have a problem with something he says, just ignore it and move on.

Oh I won't. I guess being a fan as long as I have, I get too anxious about what he does.

Genius / Creativity takes time.

As for the case of hit albums, however, was it most impressive, didn't as recent [[mid 00s) an album as A Time 2 Love managed to peak at Number 5 on the Pop Albums charts? Over forty years, the public has that kind of maintaining love for Stevie, a lot longer than many and most, whose hit recording lives, are about averaged twenty years [[ex. 60s-80s) if lucky to make it that long. And From the Bottom of My Heart still plays large airplay in many places people may go.

Once his new album comes around, Motown, since 1962, I'm sure it'll still be the same.
