Hi all,
This past week or so I got the notion to listen to a self-made CD of The Temptations Live at London's Talk of the Town. No a bad album at all, but I never REALLY sat still and listened to it in its entirety.
Anyhow, there is a part where Dennis tells the audience to let their hair down, and if they could not let their hair down to take it off! I just about lost control of the car from laughing so hard!
So my question is: what lol moments from a live motown lp can you remember?

Four Tops Live at the Roostertail when Levi flubs the lyrics on "I'll Turn to Stone" he sings "and I almost blew it" right along within the song LOL!

When Diana said "where is she where is she" per her Mom and someone said "she's playing three the hard way" or something like that per casino-on Farewll.

That Tops live at the Roostertail album has a moment that makes me howl every time. Before the "Baby I Need Your Loving" audience participation bit, Levi says, "When I say, 'Baby, I need your loving,' I want you to go for yourself. 'Cause everybody don't need lovin'. And I don't know WHAT you need. I can only speak for me." ROTFL!!!!

In the Smokey Robinson & the Miracles live album....near the track Going To A Go GO

Smokey encourages the audience to get romantic and cuddle up close to the one you love........and then says...like those two guys in the corner. LOL

Very daring for the time!

And then there's Marvin Gaye Live! when he makes the crowd say "How sweet it is!" to the person next them; he then says, "That gentleman didn't like that, sir." :D

Not an album...but Stevie Wonders Fingertips Part ll [[recorded live)...after Stevie does his Mary Had A Little Lamb harmonica bit and the band breaks into the outro...listen closely and you can hear one of the musicians [[reportedly new bass player Larry Moses) shouting out..."WHAT KEY, WHAT KEY"...In the original studio version it was James Jamerson on bass...and Marvin Gaye was the drummer on both the studio and the live recording...

Didn't they get stuck in an elevator while on their way from their dressing room?

On the Tempts' 1967-released live album, Eddie Kendricks fluffs his own name during the group introduction.
