There was an attempt to get another version of the original Persuaders launched by Richard and Robert Poindexter a few years ago, a new release cd was given to me by the Poindexter Brothers and they still perform . There is a video of the Persuaders performing this year which I will post below.
Here's a video by Robert Poindexter in which he makes claim to royalties from rap performers....slightly off track but quite interesting

Great question. That was a fantastic era for music.
It sure as hell was. Beautiful mellow music performed with great style and panache. Thank heavens we have a great body of musical perfection to look back upon.
