Today, “Lalah Hathaway Live” was made available for download to the supporters of her PledgeMusic campaign. “Live” is an homage to her father’s 1972 live album, also recorded at L.A.’s Troubadour. I’m sure I don’t need to sell anyone here on this uniquely talented, multiple Grammy award winner. She was name-checked by late, great legends, Whitney Houston and Luther Vandross, as one of their favorite singers of the ‘younger’generation. Now middle-aged, Lalah has most certainly come into her own. A voice that can stop you in your tracks. Check it out.
