Hi everyone.
Unless you've played it recently, how 'bout Mary Love/YOU TURNED MY BITTER INTO SWEET? Seems timely, yes?

One of its writers published with Jobete. A slight Motown connection, perhaps.

Maybe there's a Brenda Holloway demo. I've also wondered which Motown artist demoed the Ikettes' "I'm So Thankful".

I admit it, John--it's quite a stretch on my part. But I thought since it's getting attention on the Forum and the tune sounds 'so Motown', it was worth a shot.

Since you're not reading the BITTER thread, here's a link to a very brief video I posted on it--Docludi's terrific video take on the tune with Ann Miller from 1953's KISS ME, KATE. Don't miss it when you have time to watch. It's quite something.

I've never heard of a PEZ. Is it some sort of confectionery?

Methuselah2

That it is, 144man. Very small rectangular candies that, by the '50s, you loaded into a plastic dispenser. As years went by, the dispensers morphed into every character imaginable. Collectors love them. Every so often, a simple dispenser becomes available again. The candies are also available sugar-free. I loved the plain, simple dispensers as a child. For me, having candy in a dispenser was a big deal. About 3 inches high, I'd say. Check out this link for more info:
