Apparently the Beverley Sisters hit the USA charts with "Greensleeves". They must have been one of the first female groups to have done that.

Local [[to me) girls born in Bethnal Green who never seem to be associated to any kind of scandal.

RIP Joy and thoughts go out to Teddie and Babette and all their families.
