Tom Jones was one lucky so and so....... He's had the opportunity to sing with some of the finest female vocalists of the last century. Here he is with the incomparable Nancy Wilson with a cover of "Ain't No Mountain High Enough!"

"Lucky" being the biggest euphemism in the world, here! I liked Tom Jones. I respected
Tom Jones. I thought he did a great job in this duet, too. But, come on, he's singing here
with Nancy Wilson, Cottdammit!:)...I wonder if he even imagined how far out of her league
he'd become in time....

She could have sang that song in her sleep! Being the consummate professional that she is, Nancy Wilson refrained from blowing him away! LOL!!! You know he wanted to kiss her.

Tom is an excellent performer. Perhaps not a world class performer but excellent nonetheless. He always gives good value to this very day. I have a dvd of many of his duet performances from hid tv show and it is an excellent listen watching him duet with the likes of Dionne, Dusty, Deniece Williams, Gladys etc etc

Darlene Love was indiscreet enough in her autobiogrpahy to state that Tom Jones disaparaged Leslie Uggams' boudoir skills. Apparently, however, he was quite satisfied with the legendary Mary Wilson's -- at least according to her account.

I don't think he would have dared to mess with our Nancy!!

Wow. So many prudes at SoulfulDetroit! A beautiful woman like Nancy Wilson should have had as much fun with as many guys as she wanted. Although I believe she was still married to first husband at the time :-[[

Yeah but some of them are acting like Tom Jones was some kind of monster when it came to women. He always came off as a nice guy from all accounts. Sure hew as married, but so was Bill C.........................hehehehehehehe!

Why guy??? Being a lady doesn't mean she's stuck up.

I didn't suggest she was stuck-up.

I was just reasoning that a very beautiful woman -- in showbusiness, in those liberated times -- should have felt free to take advantage of any attractive opportunities presented to her.

Nancy Wilson was always super fine....................... She was also best friends at that time to this day with Mary Wilson. She knew Mary was dating Tom Jones.
