All the cop, Daniel Pantaleo did was committ cold blooded murder....... They should have settled for a lot more than that! He should be in prison right now!

They should have been awarded upwards of $170 million, even that would never compensate for what that asshole of a cop did.

How can they award that amount of money [[or any money at all) and not charge the cop? Makes no sense to me. PoS should be in jail, and the family should have the settlement money.

Thomas it is a strange World. This not the first time the City of New York has had to settle with a member of the public because of wrong doing by the same cop, Daniel Pantaleo. He's been sued before. The City made this settlement but of course is not admitting any guilt on the part of the City, the NYPD or Officer Pantaleo!
