No,not [jfk]this is about singers whose time in the spotlight was short, not due to passing but just misfortune...the artistics-great group short career...the opals...archie bell and the drells-had everybody dancing for a minute...dee clark-the next clyde not quite...ruby and the romantics-i wish smokey had worked with em...the royalettes-nice but no...watt's 103rd st band...ruby andrews-so cute...love unlimited-maybe barry white said no...the persuaders-a very thin line...the ambassadors...the astors-they ran out of candy...new birth-ann bogan's group no birth...the originals-berry what happened, there are many more, so jump right in.

Two names came up immediately for me, both from the '80s. The first is Sherrick, who hit big with 'You Can Call Me What You Wanna [[Baby Just Call)"

And the second was Miles Jaye, who had a big song called "Let's Start Over". Both of these guys had potential that went untapped.

Dee Clark had a career in the 50's and into the 60's. I knew him in the 60's when he came by James Brown's show at the Apollo to hang with band members, we became friends, he was living in Georgia then.

The Royalettes[[?) one of the great groups out of the 60's produced by the amazing Teddy Randazzo. I wondered why we didn't hear more after the 60's.

Barbara Harris of The Toys still performs. As do members of The Persuaders.

Archie Bell was on Facebook, so is Ruby Andrews some Artistics and some others.
There are a ton of Artists from back in the day on Facebook! It's true because they are all friends of mine. Everyone from Rondalis Tandy lead singer of The Van Dykes to Lenny Welch and everyone else.

Miles Jaye had that great album out around 1988, nothing as good since.
