But what a great 2 minutes it is!

Dorothy Malone gave an amazing performance throughout the entire film and received the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for it.

Here's the scene I like to call 'The Rumba . . . of Death!' Completely but wonderfully over-the-top, which is pretty much par-for-the-course for director Douglas Sirk. See what you think:

What an actress she was and this was long before[peyton place]and fine too.

So glad you liked it, Arr&bee. Malone is really sensational throughout the whole film.

In one scene that's played at a dinner table, someone says to her: "You're a dirty liar." And she responds: "I'm dirty, period!" Great stuff, really great performance. Malone just went with it and knocked it out of the ballpark . . . er, movie theatre.

She was also great in[warlock]with richard widmark.

I agree. Malone is very talented and could always play a wide range of parts.
