Can anyone direct me to a web site that shows quality pictures of The Supremes [[DMF and DMC) record sleeves from their 45's? Thanks in advance!

Don't know about singles but look at this for Ross and Supremes albums.

The 45 pic sleeves I recall:
Your Heart Belongs To Me, Where Did Our Love Go, Baby Love, Stop!, Back In My Arms, Nothing But Heartaches, You
Can't Hurry Love, You Keep Me Hangin' On, Children's Christmas Song--these were all American releases, of course.
I don't think there were any after Cindy joined.

There are loads in the book Motown The Golden Years. Mostly European though. I only have one U.S. release with Pic Sleeve, Nothing But Heartaches.....Paulo XXX

In addition to those listed by Randy, there is also a picture sleeve for I'M GONNA MAKE YOU LOVE ME.

i'm surprised that they didn't release more pic sleeves in the US. understandable with Love Child, seeing as how much of a rush job that was. but someday didn't have one?!?!

I can understand the lack of single covers in the US - for every Motown hit there was at least 5 that flopped,The company had only been growing for a few years -Motown still had to recoup its losses - the international picture sleeves was a decision of the international marketing distributors so they could probably swallow the printing costs..BG might have thought Heck, theyre selling any way printing deadlines would have slowed down the horse race...

well that would explain why the Monitors or Elgins didn't have picture sleeves. but i would have thought that the promotional impact of having the girls' picture out there would have overruled costs. definitely agree with your cost/promotional response when it came to the 70s supremes. but in the 60s, Berry was absolutely dedicated to the idea of spending whatever to establish diana/supremes as stars

Never understood why E.M.I. who handled Motown in the the U.K. in the 60s and 70.s never released picture sleeves. Every European country seemed to. I have issues from Spain, Holland, Germany, France, Italy, even the then East Germany G.D.R. many with pictures of the artists Ive never seen before or since....Paulo XXX

Carlo, thanks very much for the link http://www.diana-web.com/discography/7supremes1.html.
I've been on that site before, but it's been years.
I now noticed that a few Supremes Dutch 45 sleeves are missing in the file. There is a third alternate sleeve for Stop!InTheNameOfLove [[or was it BackInMyArms Again?) and a full color one for NothingButHeartaches, among others.
I do have them, somewhere in my basement. I'll try and dig them up one of these days and "feed" them to the webmaster of www.diana-web.com, so he can upload them for everyone to see.

No! It got the standard paper sleeve advertising other Motown releases. We got much fewer record sleeves with 45's here in America.

This is my fav. website.
They have a link on there with all the Motown Picture Sleeves.
They also have a complete catalog listing of all singles, on all labels, and
even other Detroit labels.

I think that Randy Russi had a complete U S listing of Supremes songs with picture sleeves. The very first one, Your Heart Belongs To Me, commands an exorbitant price [[approaching $500). Of course, I need that one for my collection as well as Children's Xmas Song [[1085) and You Keep Me Hanging On [[1101).

I'm Gonna Make You Love Me [[1137) was both Supremes & Tempts.

If anyone has a need for a VG condition Back In My Arms Again [[1075) picture sleeve, I have a duplicate so private message me and hopefully we can negotiate a deal. Thank you.

Woodward, I wished this site and the internet were around in the 80s. I could have directed you to two stores that had those records and sleeves plus many more. The prices then were like $10 -15 each.
