There's some great pictures of Martha with Ros and Annette AND Lois and Delphine that David Bell has put up on Facebook.

Sorry John.

Maybe it's because you are in the USA. I'll ask David if I can post them here - they are worth seeing

I'm in the UK and I can't see them either. So, of course, I now really want to! Lovely picture at the top of this thread though - thank you Roberta for posting it. I hate it when people say "the greatest of all time" about anything, but I would say that MR&TVs are the most soulful female group from that era, and with the most individual and characterful lead singer. They paved the way for Labelle, and the Spice Girls, just as much as the Supremes did, and, of course, as the Marvelettes paved the way for all female groups.

^ Great point Sharpmoves. I always felt that way about the MR&TV's. They were the Motown version of the Shangri-Las. They had the sass appeal and the attitude. While the Supremes appeared to be posh and "more appealing", MR&TV's never lost that street savvy. They were that group that knew how to rock and roll with the best of them. If the Marvelettes were streetwise R&B with some country twang and the Supremes were R&B best served in a Sunday dinner at some expensive restaurant, MR&TV's were home cooked deep fried Southern-esque rock and rollers. "Wild One", "Dancing..." and "Nowhere to Run" were enough to make them appear very risky at that time.

It's interesting how each of the three Motown girl groups each paved the way for what came later! But MR&TV's definitely deserves their props.

Good analogy. I aways felt there was room for all of them; as to mentioned they were all three different groups. I was too young at the time; just learned that the Marvelettes had a TV special. At least somebody gave them that opportunity. A group with two lead singers that apparently got along well. Anyway, digressing from the intent of the thread.

Fabulous! thanks so much for posting these. But, what's the story? They are all colour-co-ordinated and they are clearly taken on different occasions. How come? And when? I'd love to know. They all look so happy and relaxed with one another. It's absolutely wonderful. What a treat! Thanks TBFXT.
