A vibrant appearance by Martha on American TV soon after her Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. She's looking and sounding wonderful, and she sure makes the studio audience "get up and dance". They clearly love her

Love this love this so much Sharpmoves. I used to watch the Rolando Watts program every day back in the day. The First Lady of Motown Dr Martha reeves always gets her audiences excited and is still the best Motown performer out threre today imo.

Yours, with every good wish.

She always gives 100% Roberta, indeed she does! But she had to wait a very long time to be honored properly, but when it finally came, it really meant something for her, and you can see her joy in this clip. Have a lovely day! Sharpmoves.

Martha is a trooper. I saw her perform in approx 1991 in Detroit with a real bad cold. As the headliners, Martha and the Vandellas sailed through the hits w/o a hitch. She had on her fur coat and excused herself immediately to the fans. Poor thing was whisked away by her driver. Roz informed me before the show that it was going To be short because of Martha being ill. Well they sang full versions of the hits and you wouldn't know she was ill.

Martha is nothing if not professional. She is an unsung hero and deserves a special place in our hearts.

She does have a very special place in my heart, and in the hearts of many loyal UK fans, who come out in droves to see her on her regular visits here. She's also a consistent champion of Motown records, and the legacy of that golden age the 1960s, when classic Motown was born and grew to maturity. She was rather unsung for a while, during the 1970s, and clearly had a hard time. But things have got steadily better for her, and the inductions of MR&TVs into the Rock and Roll and Vocal Groups Halls of Fame were pivotal in turning things round. Then came the amazing release of large quantities of excellent recordings of hers from the Motown vaults, and most recently the beautiful 50th Anniversary Collection. Nowadays the term "Motown legend" is regularly applied to Martha, and with good reason. All that's missing is the Live at the Copa album......c'mon Hip-0-Select, you can do it! And here's a pic I haven't seen before. MR&TVs performing live at EMI House, London in 1965:
