Many of us on this site have expressed understandable concern and disapproval about the low royalty rates pertaining to streaming music services; hopefully those commentators are also contacting the streaming services to register their opinions.
Likewise, lots of users post from YouTube onto this site. It is my understanding that YouTube pays no royalties.
It seems to me that there is a logical disconnect here – ie: internal protest and perhaps boycott over low royalties, while supporting a huge conglomerate [[YouTube is owned by Google) that pays no royalties. Can anyone explain this?
