I don't have an hour to watch the video right now, something tells me I've already seen it,
but Bird was certainly a giant in the music and I too have been listening to him for much
though not all of my life. I started with Lester Young actually then Trane who became my fixation for life before getting into all of the rest of horn men [[and women) I dig....
But did you hear?

"A Giant", so true Splanky. I'm not a jazz freak but but I love Charlie Parker.

I watched Ken Burns' 'Jazz' documentaries on Netflix last month. It was an absolutely remarkable program and it showed much love to Bird. He was a pillar of the music and culture and passed away centuries before his time was due.
