Supremes - Bend A Little

Same as my Vandellas thread before - I was just listening to "Bend a Little" but on Motown Magic Disco Machine vol 2. I remember a few years ago getting this by The Supremes before it was released and making anyone I could find listen to it cos it's so good. Why was it not released until recently, except as an instrumental?

I am not certain as to why it was not released but at the time I thought the lyrics were a bit suggestive despite rumors you may hear in regard to it being pulled or shelved.

When you hear songs like "Bend A Little" and Life Beats not being released as a single or album cut, make you wonder wth was Motown thinking

just a thought, some songs were changed due to Mary wanting to do more leads but i would issued the above songs along with Sha La Bandit,if i were BG.
