One of the finest and most underrated of all soul artists. He'd not been well for a long time so no real shock, I suppose, but still sad.

As a Phillysound obsessive as I am, practically the only thing I have by Don Covay is "Travelin' In Heavy Traffic" album from wich I likes a lot "Owe To Your Body", the last track. i have read that Mick Jagger from Rolling Stones admits that he wants to imitate the voice of Don Covay from the first time he heard him. Anyway a very seminal artist! RIP
