Yes....I remem ber...it seemed to be an eternity.....

I liked Andy's story about the cover of 'Supremes 75'. I remember a friend of mine didn't like the front cover, then turned it over and exclaimed "Now that's more like it!" when he saw the back photo.

As for me, I wasn't much aware of the members coming and going back then [[I was in high school), and to me Cindy was unrecognizable on the back cover so I assumed the front and back cover were different lineups! Cindy is so distinctive looking, especially around the eyes, that they seemed to have air brushed her or something on the back cover photo so it hardly looked like her. I thought it must have been Lynda Lawrence and not Cindy. Of course, on the front Cindy is easily recognizable.

One thing about the "Let Yourself Go" box set that I love is how in the liner notes the reissue producers mention that the set is finally being released to the fans "for which they have patiently waited," just like Mary's liner notes on the original "Supremes 75" LP stated.

I do too. It had a real 70s feel to it, soft lit, and surrounded by the kind of vintage furniture and antiques that people collected a lot back then. I never knew the pose was to hide Mary's pregnancy until I read it in her book.

I loved the Supremes 75 cover as well. It was really "In" at the time. There was a retro feel to it that was very chic at the time. I bought the Supremes 75 album along with the Manhattan Transfer's first album at the same time. Both had the "Retro" thing going on that was very popular in 1975

One thing we've gotta get on a "70s Supremes Lost and Found" set if one is ever done is the Supremes accapella version of "Star Spangled Banner" that the 70s lineup sang before a fight, I think. I believe from seeing the YouTube clip that it was Mary, Scherrie and Cindy. Their harmonies were stunning.

Hee hee....well I'll tell you....when I got my set and was talking to Andy about it....I couldn't say enough good...it was wonderful!!! But I told him that the cover looked like the packaging for a feminine hygiene product....truly! It shoulda had photos of the ladies....but then it would have been somehow complicated....

Yep, I absolutely agree. I was positive they'd use the HE image. When it came out, there were a lot of complaints about that design in the forum. I didn't like it either, but it's the music that matters, so I don't dwell on that sort of detail really.
