See link: apparently, Diana Ross and Adam Lambert will be featured on a "new" Chic track called "Queen" -- allegedly a left-over of the diana sessions, with new vocals added by Lambert. Don't know if it is true, but it fits the earlier rumors spread through twitter by Nile Rodgers.

This appears to be guesswork as to what might be on the new Chic album and there's no confirmation that this track will be included.

Well, to make a "splash", they need Adam Lambert. This isn't the 60's 70's or 80's and while Diana is an icon and Chic is well remembered, to have a hit and make a splash, they need the current crop.

It's true. Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder got a BIG push from Daft Punk [[and Pharrell, in Nile's case).

Lulu, could you explain how they helped? I am not that up on it although I know Pharrell and Happy.
I think having them on Daft Punk's Random Access Memories album [[Nile was on two tracks and Giorgio one - album won best Album at Grammys) brought them back into the public conciousness and exposed them to a new generation. Giorgio also has a CD due out soon! The album is quite good especially if you are fans of CHIC or Moroder/Belotte, I recommend giving it a listen!

This all seemed too good to be true and unfortunately so it turns out.
Diana obviously has some deep-rooted reason why she no longer wants to record.
I will be very surprise if we ever get any new material from her.

And in real numbers, Adam Lambert, hasn't broken the downward trend of American Idol winners. He is a cool celebrity addition, nothing more, nothing less. Apparently Nile played it for Evan and Evan supposedly "encouraged" Diana to record the track. So it is not clear at what state, if any, the recording is.Well, we've got the name of a track, and possible collaborators....which is a lot more info that we've had no potential new music in a long time.....to the heavens!!!
