She'll forever be known as one of the most iconic, prima donna singers of our time.

But Diana Ross was certainly no diva as she landed at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday.

The 70-year-old entertainer was spotted bundled up in an oversized lilac coat that appeared more like a blanket than a jacket.

Not surprised to see the gray hair. I've seen other photos where you could see a bit of it at her hairline. Not to mention that her parents and siblings seem to have gone gray early. Maybe she's toying with the idea of letting it show or she just didn't get around to dying it.

She's found something that makes her INSTANTLY recognizable from the millisecond she steps outside of her door . That's something almost every star wants and would give anything for. I don't doubt that from time to time she will bust out with something new..... Just not as a permanent look. I actually heard her say in an interview when she was involved with MAC Cosmetics..."somehow I was able to create a "look" that [[pause) separates me from other performers". At 70 I'm afraid she doesn't have enough time to develop another iconic "look" and have it forever burned into our collective memory for an eternity. That's why I'm pretty much convinced "this is it."

When I was standing next to Miss Ross and speaking to her I was AMAZED at how much hair that is....it seemed almost as long as she is tall... It certainly was wider than she is. I'm positive no one else could manage not to appear overwhelmed by having that much hair. But because her energy and persona are so huge it seemed in perfect proportion. Nobody else could get away with it.

Here's an easy way to see what I mean....next time you have a chance, watch Lady Sings the Blues or Mahogany. They are 100% "Chiclet" perfect..as they would have to be if your face [[and mouth) will be magnified large enough to fill a movie theatre screen and Y-O-U are the star of the picture. To quote Billy Dee Williams/Louis Mckay : "...you sure have pretty teeth when you smile...."

Well, this thread started with yet another Daily Mail post about nada, then a war about hair color, and ultimately a "dental discussion". i didn't mean any disrespect to MIss Ross, she is and always will be my hero. If you google some of these topics you will find a plethora of long discussions have gone on before. I was always [[since 64) fascinated by her smile, her eyes and her hair..therefore have paid attention to them over the years...to the point of gaining a license in cosmetology recently during my spare time..specializing in wig and hairpiece creation and design and I'm very good at it. This after spending years in the entertainment industry as a performer. I thank her for being the inspiration for all of it. so, shoot me..

By the way I was just reacting to pictures that were posted on the net. I didn't take them or post them OR pose for them......if dental or other procedures are apparent in some pics...it's not M-Y fault. I'm free to make observations, am I not??
