Almighty God, may your mercy be extended to our brother Jimmy Ruffin who has recently left this earth for your heavenly mansion. May your light be the light that shines in his eyes. Take Mr Ruffin out of the darkness, open his eyes and ears and may your enlightened spirits surround him to hear your words of peace and hope as you welcome into your eternal home where he will live for all eternity as all of us here on earth will pray for you dear Father and in return we ask that you pray for us.

There doesn't appear to be anything legit as of yet. I merely gave the news some credence as the two who posted it are connected to several Motown acts.

Not to sound insensitive, but this man keeps rising from the dead every few weeks. An hour ago, WIkopedia listed DOB and DOD. Now his Date of Death has been removed.

In this instant news and gossip industry, everyone wants to get the scoop first and many times, it is wrong.

Until confirmed, I'll just believe that Jimmy is in very poor health

Just checked Wiki myself; there's a DOD of 17/11/2014 in the sidebar, but the main article only mentions his birth year after his name and still contains the line about him "currently liv[ing]" in Vegas. Frustrating, to say the least.

Found this article dated 10/18/14 which states he's in intensive care in a Las Vegas hospital.

It is with regret, that I inform you all that the great Jimmy Ruffin, big brother of the late great David Ruffin has passed away.

I send my deepest and heartfelt condolences and prayers to the family and nieces of Jimmy Ruffin who passed away last night at the age of 75 yrs. old. Jimmy was born May 7th, 1939 and took his last earthly breath on 11/17/14. Jimmy, like his brother David was a musical bad boy. Some of his notable songs were ," What Becomes of the Broken Hearted", " Since I've Lost You" and many more. Your contribution will live on in our memories, our hearts and in your music. R.I.P.
