I would love to see both groups inducted but this year's nominations are all strong contenders. Does anyone know how Wanda is doing ? I really loved her leads with the group that's how heartache are made especially.

The photo of The Marvelettes in the post immediately above is an insult. A mistake, of course, but an insult, particularly to Gladys Horton and what she spoke about in the years prior to her death.

They need to change the picture of Chic also. I didn't know Ice Cube was one of the nominees. I hope he makes it too.

I don't understand why the legendary sax player is not in the RRHOF, he had it all, innovator, influential, commercial and even had a great solo with the rock group Foreigner.
How in the heck is he not included.

They have a very narrow view of what was good music and who the American public enjoyed. They are more guitar Rock oriented it seems

I know, what about that? I was shocked to see Green Day. I thought an act had to have been performing at least 25 years ago to be nominated...they can't have been around that long. I must be wrong about what I thought was the criteria.

Of course Lou Reed will get in. He's avant garde, he just died not long ago, and his music [[though I'm honestly not that familiar with it) is the kind the rock intelligentsia praises. I also think that Nine Inch Nails is a shoe-in for largely the same reasons, though I am more familiar with them and do have some of their albums. But are Kraftwerk really well known enough to get in?

It would seem to me this is the year for the Marvelettes and hopefully the Spinners as well. The Spinners are probably more familiar to the more mainstream rock crowd because of their 70s output, which of course is what they're being nominated for, not their Motown stint.
