The "Posse" was a vocal quintet formed in the late 60s/early 70s in Detroit Michigan. They were literally modeled after the Temptations because they were managed by legendary Temptation lead singer Eddie Kendricks.

After finding out many years later how Eddie felt about his time in The Temptations I thought it strange that he would ever have managed a group modeled on his ex one
featuring a lead singer who so closely imitates his own phrasing and approximates his
range...But that was Eddie...

When I bought Posse's VIP/Motown single "Feel Like Givin' Up" back in 1972, I thought it really WAS Eddie Kendricks on lead vocal! Never knew the difference until I read the liner notes in "The Complete Motown Singles: Vol. 12A [[1972). The similarity in their voices is incredible!
